BIOGRAPHY
Loviet (pronounced low-vee-it) is a powerhouse of 90’s-tinged indie-rock, alternative-pop, making a name for herself supporting critically acclaimed artists like The Beaches, Giant Rooks and Jesse Jo Stark, and performing at festivals including Lollapalooza, Summerfest and Ottawa Bluesfest. Praised for her “signature, shimmery hooks with emotionally honest lyrics” (Notion) and “addictive, retro pop-rock…” (CBC), Loviet, nee Natalie Lynn, has spent the last 5 years in Toronto honing her craft, touring throughout Canada, UK and the US while growing her fanbase and catalog independently. Backed by her longtime drummer Ryan Perry and bassist Keith Whipple, Loviet’s performances are larger than life, "delivering a show that is fit for an arena" (Megan LaPierre, Exclaim! Magazine).
Her EP The Nighttime Is All In The Timing, produced by American indie-rock band Now, Now, is a five-track offering that’s sonically expansive and emotionally charged, described by Loviet as “…lots of guitars, energy, power, and mess”. From the unabating urgency of her boldly breathtaking anthem “Broken Lips” to the unapologetic roar of “Star Treatment”, The Nighttime Is All In The Timing finds Loviet soundtracking moments of reckoning and raw reflection through catchy and cathartic upheavals that "hit hard and leave a lasting mark" (Mitch Mosk, Atwood Magazine).
With a brand new record set for a 2025 release, Loviet is further bridging the gap between her praised energetic live shows and recorded catalog, featuring a more rock driven, unblushing portrayal of the artist than ever before. These new songs, produced and written by Loviet, recorded at Fang Studios and mixed by Ian Docherty (guitarist of July Talk) put forward a cool and confident tone similar to that of 90’s icons The Cardigans, Sheryl Crow and Alanis Morissette, while harnessing dynamic, stand out vocals, full band walls of sound and anthemic energy taking audiences on a ride.

PRESS
As her body of work grows, it’s clear that Loviet is here to take up some serious space on the edge of pop’s dancehall mold. A good measure of ‘***k-it’ undertones live in her exhales to help counterattack the industries plastic and emphasize her see-through approach to real stories and guttural songs.
- Gaffa.se
A smoldering soundtrack to breaking out of cycles, Loviet’s breathtaking 'Broken Lips' is an exhilarating indie pop upheaval: A cinematic anthem of soul-searching, inner reckoning, and emotional release.
- Atwood Magazine
Powerhouse' is the type of PR wording that admittedly tends to be hyperbolic, but it feels accurate in Loviet's case. Nova Scotia-bred, Toronto-based Natalie Lynn makes '90s-inspired alt-pop with guts, seamlessly blending glossy synth textures and sludgy guitars that gives her sound a signature gleaming grittiness.
- Exclaim! Magazine
It’s no easy feat to create rock songs that tower ten storeys high with sheer, dark, sore emotion and stack them next to the fast paced punk-pop of Hole or Green Day. Yet that’s just what Canadian singer-songwriter Loviet has managed to do on her latest EP ‘The Nighttime Is All In The Timing’. Not only has she done it, she’s done it really ***king well.
- Edge of Arcady.com
With an engrossing, arresting sound and enough personality and bite to stand out from the crowd, up-coming Canadian singer-songwriter Loviet is showing all of the characteristics of someone destined for bigger things
- Clout Magazine
Artist Loviet is here to bring some calm and serenity with her new track “Picture”. Other-worldly in nature, the song’s atmospheric production and ethereal tone ensure that listeners are consumed upon first listen
